General Overview of the position:
To support the lead artist in the development of quality products using internal development teams and third parties, from initial design to final commercial mastering, within agreed schedules and costs.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Management
•Provide motivation to the art team.
•Provide managerial support to the lead artist.
•Ensure good communication & coordination between the art and other parts of the team (programming, level design, design, production)
•Recommend training requirements for the art team.
•Assist with recruitment and selection of staff for art team.
Scheduling
•Monitor and progress tasks schedules for art team in conjunction with Producer & Project Planning manager as appropriate.
•Primary contact for schedule adjustments.
•Track and chase milestone deliverables.
•Identify and review task risks and recommend mitigation and contingencies
Technical Design
•Define the asset set for the game and produce asset list.
Procedures and Standards
•Oversee production of allocated areas of responsibility.
•Maintain art quality across the project.
•Conduct selected asset reviews.
